On arrival at Beijing Airport, our local representative will be waiting outside the customs area to welcome you and take you to your hotel.
Day 3 | Beijing (B, L)
Temple of Heaven – Tiananmen Square – Forbidden City
Today, you will enjoy a full-day tour of this vibrant city today, startingwith Temple of Heaven, a masterpiece of Ming architecture and where the emperors performed annual sacrificial rituals for good harvests. Next, you will visit Tiananmen Square. This 100- acre expanse is the largest public square in the world. From here we enter the Forbidden City, the ancient palace at the center of modern Beijing. Later, you will explore the local people’s life by trishaw tour in Hutong .
Day 4 | Beijing (B, L)
Great Wall - Imperial Ming Tombs - Olympic Game Park
After breakfast, we will take you to Great Wall of China. This 6,400 Kilometers long wall is a symbol of China's ancient civilization and ranks among the greatest ancient monuments in history. Next, we walk through the Sacred Way to see the Imperial Ming Tombs - the mausoleums of 13 emperors. See the Underground Palace and enjoy the rustic setting of the Tombs. In contrast, the most modern sights are the iconic Olympic buildings. These include the National Aquatics Centre, better known as the Water Cube, and the National Stadium, better known as the Bird's Nest.
After the whole day tour, treat yourself a great dinner to taste famous Beijing Roasted Duck in Quanjude (optional).
Day 5 | Beijing | Xi’an (B, L)
Summer Palace – Bullet train to Xi'an – Muslim Square
In the morning, we will take you to Summer Palace and its immense garden, where the Imperial Court resided during summer. After lunch, you will take the high-speed bullet train to Xi’anin first class (approx. 5 hours 30 minutes). Xi’an was once the largest city in the world and China’s capital for 11 dynasties. You’ll be welcomed by a local guide and will be taken to visit city’s Muslim Square. You can explore local life there and have a dinner at one of the many food stalls.
Day 6 | Xi'an (B, L)
Terracotta Warriors – City Wall of Xian
After breakfast, we begin with a full day tour to visit Xian’s main attraction, the Terracotta Warriors. Even if you have researched about these ancient models made over two thousand years ago, nothing can prepare you for their sheer scale and number. Later, we visit the ancient City Wall of Xian, the complete city wall survived in China, which was built during the Tang dynasty. Here you can take a relaxing cycle along the wall as an option.
Day 7 | Xi'an | Guilin (B, L)
Small Wild Goose Pagoda – Shaanxi Museum
After breakfast, head to Da Cien Temple, a famous Buddhist sutra translation site during the Tang Dynasty. Small Wild Goose Pagoda is one of the most famous buildings in the temple. Next,you will visit Shaanxi Museum which is home to about 400,000 cultural relics and 110,000 old books, including treasures from many periods of China’s history. Later, you will be transferred to the airport for flight to Guilin (approx. 2 hours). Your local guide will pick you up and transfer to your hotel.
Day 8 | Guilin | Yangshuo
Li River cruise –Yangshuo Town
Following breakfast, you will take a four-hour boat cruise on the breathtaking Li River towards Yangshuo town. Along 84-kilometer cruise, there are opportunities to enjoy tranquil rural scenes of buffalo farming the rice terraces and the towering karts mountain peaks.
Day 9 | Yangshuo
A day at leisure in Yangshuo. Explore this beautiful area independently, or perhaps join an optional cookery class or take a wall or cycle ride to visit the countryside.
Day 10 | Yangshuo-Guilin-Shanghai
After breakfast, you will be picked up by a local guide to return to Guilin and on the way back, you’ll visit Reed Flute Caves, a remarkable collection of colorfully illuminated stalactites and stalagmites. Later, you’ll be transferred to the airport for flight to Shanghai. Upon arrival, you’ll be met by a driver and you’ll be taken to the hotel by private transfer. You can start exploring Shanghai independently.
We suggest you visit the Jade Buddha Temple, Shanghai Museum and visit the waterfront of the Bund to admire Shanghai as a modern metropolis.
Day 11 | Shanghai (B)
Today, we suggest you visit Yu Yuan gardens, home to beautiful pavilions, corridors, streams, courtyards, and flowers. Later at night, you may wish to take a river cruise or watch Shanghai Acrobatics Show.
Day 12 | Shanghai (B)
Today you’ll be taken by a private transfer from the hotel to the airport for your return flight.
