Day 1 - HANOI ARIVAL (NO GUIDE)

Arrival at Noi Bai international airport, and you will transfer to your hotel.

DAY 2: FREE ET LEISURE (B)

Free at leisure to explore the city on your own or you can choose one of the recommended day tours below. Overnight in Hanoi.

EXPLORE HANOI LIKE LOCAL FULL DAY (GUIDE/Lunch)

Drive from the hotel through the historical Ba Dinh Square where President Ho Chi Minh proclaimed the independence of Vietnam in 1945 and find out outstanding architecture, and beautiful atmosphere around this square. Then reach Lenin Garden, a communal space for locals. This also offers a perfect opportunity for people-watching, to get a better idea of the daily activities of the locals. After that, we make our way through the small alleys of Hanoi where sewing shops have been in family hands for generations, and admire the daily life of local people who still practice old the old way of life in the alleys of Hanoi. Do not forget to bring your camera along to capture the unique experience. Continue toe walks to visit the Temple of Literature, Vietnam’s first national university built in the late 11th century, and explore its role in the country’s past. Then visit the fascinating Ethnology Museum (closed Mondays), which is both a research center and a public museum exhibiting the ethnic groups of Vietnam. And enjoy your lunch at a local restaurant before making a stroll around the charming Hanoi old quarter to explore the fascinating maze of back streets. Then walking to the busy street of Nha Chung where every day is always busy with several vendors of food or vegetables gathering for sale. And stop at the old French house of Hanoian for a tea break and talk with him to discover more about the change in local people, and life and listen to the story of a family in each period. Finally, you will enjoy a Water Puppet show. A uniquely northern Vietnamese art form said to have originated in the flooded rice fields of the Red River Delta. Drive back the to the hotel

DAY 3: HANOI – HA LONG – LAN HA BAY BY PRIVATE CAR (NO GUIDE) (B/L/D)

08.30 You will be greeted at your hotel by the drive of the cruise’s shuttle bus to take the new highway to Tuan Chau harbor. 12:00: Welcome to Heritage Cruises Lounge at No.28 of Tuan Chau International Marina for refreshments before boarding the cruise. 12:30 Board the Heritage Cruises boat and enjoy a welcome drink as you receive a cruise briefing, and safety instructions and check into your suite. Lunch is served at L’indochine Restaurant. 12:40 Heritage Cruises takes you to contemplate the magnificent sceneries made from the limestone mountain of Lan Ha Bay – Cat Ba Archipelago. This bay is untouched and remote, as not many cruise boats use this route. 15:30 The cruise vessel approaches the Ba Trai Dao (Three Peach beaches) or Tra Bau in Lan Ha Bay, a natural frontier between the provinces of Halong and Haiphong. This secret hideaway has beaches, caves, and coves, plus the spectacular natural beauty of about 400 islands. Guests can try kayaking or simply swim in the clear waters of the bay. 17:30 Back on Heritage Cruises, enjoy life aboard the vessel or in your suite, and with a cocktail in hand watch the sunset over the Gulf of Tonkin. 18:30 Activities include afternoon tea and the chef will lead a Vietnamese cookery class. 19:30 A memorable dining experience will be offered at the restaurant, with local food in an intimate and romantic setting. 21:30 Enjoy evening views of the bay at the bar on the top deck. DAY 4: HA LONG – HANOI – FLY TO HO DANG/HOI AN (NO GUIDE/B/BR)

06:15 Start the day with the session of Vovinam on the sundeck. 06:45 Have a light breakfast on board. 07:15 Head off in a bamboo boat to explore the Dark and Bright Cave. 09:00 – 09:30 Return to the boat for checkout. 10:00 Enjoy brunch while cruising back to base. 11:00 Return to Tuan Chau Marina and disembark for the drive back to Hanoi airport for the flight to Danang. Upon arrival, pick up by private car and transfer to hotel in Hoi An. Free at leisure and overnight in Hoi An.

5: CYCLING TO COUNTRYSIDE (B/D)

Free at leisure in the morning. Afternoon, you will be picked up at your hotel lobby and transferred to Vong Nhi village by E-car, you receive the bikes and we start cycling through the village (around 6 km). On the way, we may see lots of stunning landscapes from peaceful countryside such as green water coconut forest and prawn & red snapper farms or immerse ourselves in the rustic beauty of rice fields. Arrival at Thanh dong organic farm- a 10,000sqm organic garden supporting 10 local families. We will take a short stroll around the vegetable garden while listening to the life-changing story of the farmers since they have been approached organic method of cultivating herbs. Afterward, we join the farmers to do some gardening activities like preparing and applying organic manure to the land, raking the ground, sowing herb seeds, and watering or picking vegetables. Then, we leave the farm for taking the basket boat ride along the Do River to The Field Restaurant. You may enjoy the beautiful scenery or fishing life of local villagers on the way there. Before getting back to the hotel, we will enjoy a short cooking class and have a Vietnamese family-style dinner Overnight in Hoi An
