- Negombo is one of the Sri Lanka’s most popular resorts.
- Beyond its sands lies an interesting mix: a colonial-built canal and crumbled fort; a lively fish market
- Traditional fishing communities, and a wildlife-rich lagoon
- Sigiriya is one of the most valuable historical monuments of Sri Lanka.
- Referred by locals as the Eighth Wonder of the World this ancient palace and fortress complex has significant archaeological importance and attracts thousands of tourists every year.
- It is probably the most visited tourist destination of Sri Lanka
- Kandy: This beautiful city is home to the outstanding Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic and its associated palaces and gardens
- The gateway to the Hill Country (and the greatest train journey in the world!)
- Kandy is also known as the City of Kings, Sri Lanka’s second city and the island’s undisputed historical and cultural capital.
- The impressive Temple of the Sacred Tooth and Royal Complex (Sri Dalada Maligawa) is the number one attraction in Kandy.
- Nuwara Eliya: View fascinating plantations in the heart of Sri Lanka’s tea country and admire the town’s Victorian architecture
- It is one of the most unique and spectacular areas of the country.
- Nestled high away in the mountains and filled with an abundance of gorgeous tea plantations.
- Lover’s Leap waterfall in Nuwara Eliya is definitely something to see! One of the more uncommon places to visit in Nuwara Eliya is the Seetha Amman temple.
- It’s quite a special place as it’s the only Sita temple in Sri Lanka.
- Colombo is a beautiful, vibrant & busy city.
- It offers a mixture of modern life and architecture, with old colonial buildings and ruins from the time when it was the capital of the British Ceylon (from 1815 until Sri Lanka got its independence in 1948).
- Whilst there, why not take a Tuk Tuk ride, Visit the National Museum or The Buddhist temple Gangaramaya & Beira Lake
