Day 1 - HANOI – CITY TOUR  (L)

Upon arrival at Hanoi International airport, you will be welcomed by our tour guide and transfer to your hotel. Start your walking tour at Nha Tho Street, visit Ngoc Son Temple and Hoan Kiem Lake. Stop for a sip of tea or coffee at a local coffee shop. Explore Hanoi by an extensive Cyclo tour around Hoan Kiem Lake and through the lively streets and alleys of the Old Quarter.

Note: Hotel check-in time is 2 pm.

Free time to relax in the afternoon.

Suggestion: You might like to grab a glass of local beer “Bia Hoi” at Ta Hien Street in the Old Quarter to experience Hanoi’s street nightlife.

Day 2 - HANOI – CITY TOUR  (B)

Breakfast included.

Explore Hanoi’s oldest place of worship: the thousand-year-old Tran Quoc Pagoda and Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum. Visit Van Mieu Literature, the first university in Vietnam. Then head to the Ethnology Museum, the most interesting museum in Vietnam which gives an excellent overview of the country’s ethnic groups, customs, culture and ways of life. The highlight here is the large, beautiful outdoor area featuring genuine houses and compounds as built and used by the many different ethnic groups.

Night in Hanoi.

Day 3 -  HANOI – HA LONG BAY DAY TOUR  (B, L)

Breakfast, Lunch included.

Embark on a journey to Ha Long Bay (2 hours by car). Midday arrival in Ha Long city and board a junk boat. Seafood lunch on the bay.

Spend the afternoon cruising around Halong Bay’s thousands of limestone islets and caves.

Visit a natural grotto with spectacular formations en-route.

After 4 hours cruising in Halong Bay, disembark the junk boat and return to Hanoi.

Night in Hanoi.

Day 4 - HANOI – FLY TO HUE  (B)

Breakfast included.

Free day at your leisure. Hotel check out is from 12 pm. Transfer to the airport for your short flight to Hue.

Day 5 - HUE CITY TOUR – DA NANG – HOI AN  (B, L)

Breakfast and Lunch included.

Visiting the Thien Mu Pagoda, one of the main institutions for Buddhism in Vietnam and Dong Ba Market, one of the oldest places in Hue where you can find a wide variety of household items, clothing, handicrafts, and souvenirs.

Explore the Imperial City, known as the Citadel, with your guide- which was actually a walled fortress and palace belonged to the ancient city of Hue which was a capital city of the Nguyen Dynasty for 140 years back from 1805 until 1945.

Take a journey passing the rice fields and local houses to Thủy Biều Village, an ancient village located along the upstream bank of Perfume River, explore the local life and ancient wooden houses built more than 100 years ago and immerse in the peaceful countryside. Thuy Bieu village is famous for “Thanh Tra” fruit, one kind of Vietnamese pomelos which used to be offered to the Royal Family.

Transfer from Hue to Hoi An (2.5 to 3 hours by car). Travel over the Hai Van Pass, which on a clear day has spectacular views out to the East Sea and the Lang Co peninsula.

Day 6 - HOI AN CITY TOUR  (B, L)

Breakfast included.

Explore the ancient town and learn all about Hoi An’s illustrious past as a trading port.

Take a walk through town and seeing remarkably well-preserved traditional houses that have withstood 200 years of weather and war. You will hear stories about the prosperous merchants who used to live in these homes, some proudly recounted by their own children and grandchildren.

Visit Chinese Assembly halls, Hoi An has been home to large numbers of Chinese who came here from all over China. These immigrants built community centres in Hoi An where they could meet and worship their ancestors.

Make a stop at the Japanese Covered Bridge, one of two such bridges in Vietnam. The bridge was built more than 400 years ago to connect the Japanese community with the Chinese who lived on the other side of the water. You will find carvings and paintings rich with symbolism and cultural significance inside the bridge.

Visit a handicraft workshop and Hoi An Traditional Art Perform House.

Then, escape from Hoi An’s bustling town center and transfer to visit a farm in Tra Que Village, explore its garden of vegetables and the variety of local produce. Learn the secrets behind some of Hoi An’s most famous traditional dishes using a fresh ingredients from the garden, including the famous Banh Xeo – Vietnam’s delicious version of the pancake. Lunch in Tra Que Village.

In the afternoon, visit Cam Thanh fishing village, your exploration of the water coconut palm forest will begin in a quirky laced-bamboo basket boat (2 people/one boat).

Day 7 - HOI AN – FREE DAY  (B)

Free day at your leisure.

Suggestion: You might like to relax and watch Mother Nature put on her nightly display as the sun drops into the ocean on An Bang Beach or take a walk around the town and admire the colourful lanterns – a trademark of Hoi An in the evening. The Chef and Faifo Cafe are the two coffee shops offered a lovely view of Hoi An.

Day 8 - HOI AN – DA NANG – FLY TO SIEM REAP  (B)

Free day at your leisure. Hotel check-out at 12 pm.

At 2 pm, transfer to the airport for your short flight to Siem Reap. Upon arrival, you will be welcomed by our tour guide and hotel check-in.

Day 9 - SIEM REAP – ANGKOR THOM – ANGKOR WAT TEMPLE – SIEM REAP  (B, L, D)

Start your day early with a visit to the mythical ruins of the Ta Prohm temple where human architectural genius has been overpowered, then complemented by nature over the centuries, as massive trees stand and cast shadows over equally stupendous towers while determinedly grasping them with their roots.

Discover Angkor Thom, meaning “Great City” in Khmer, was the last capital city of the Angkorian Empire. Your exploration begins at the South Gate, one of the four gates into the city, which lead to the Bayon. The former state temple best recognized by the hundreds of serenely smiling faces, each over 4 meters tall, sculpted onto some 50 remaining towers. You will walk through narrow maze-like hallways and corridors, stairs and towers to discover the bas-relief decorations that adorn the wall of the monument.

Moving north of Bayon, you will discover the Baphuon, a magnificent 11th Hindu temple converted to the worship of Buddha in the 15th century before entering the Royal Palace grounds. While the Palace itself can no longer be found, the remaining sites are marvels to behold. The Terrace of the Elephants is an impressive two and a half meter tall, 300 meter long terrace wall with carved elephant heads protruding out at several sections, their trunks forming pillars. Phimeanakas - impressive rite and sandstone pyramid. Terrace of the Leper King is at the north end of the Terrace of the Elephants, a double terrace wall with deeply carved nag as, demons and other mythological beings.

The afternoon segment begins with a visit to Angkor Wat, the pride of Cambodia. The temple complex was built in the 12th century under King Suryavarman II and epitomizes the accomplishment and splendour of Khmer architecture, culture and religion. The five towers that form the temple’s mountain are flanked by galleries with ornate carvings in rose and grey sandstone. As you enter the causeway to cross the moat surrounding the temple, you can begin the visual feast.

In the evening, get on a tuk tuk ride to the restaurant and enjoy your dinner with a traditional Apsara dance performance to experience Cambodian folk art.

Night in Siem Reap.

Day 10 - SIEM REAP – TONLE SAP HALF DAY TOUR – FLY HOME  (B)

Breakfast included.

At 8.30 am, depart to visit the floating village Kampong Phluk which sits on Tonle Sap. Embark on a boat to sample daily life in the region’s largest freshwater lake that once supplied food for the Angkorean Empire. Return to Siem Reap by noon.

Hotel check- out is at noon, 12 pm.

The rest of the day is at your leisure. At 7 pm, transfer to the airport for your return flight.
